Cool

I'm pretty sure that anything you are used to eating is out, Mike.
The doc's will probably tell you all spices are taboo as well as beef andany foods that are hard to digest.

Look forward to a lot of liquids and tasty nourishing products like Ensure and other protien and vitamin supplement drinks like it.

I had a Duadinal ulcer years ago. I'm glad my girlfreind at the time was the daughter of a Dr. in Tucson. He helped me with diet change and free sample meds from his office. About a month later I was OK.

I sure thought I had one, turned out to be dairy...who would have thought a bunch of milk and cheese could put a grown man in such pain.

A few years ago, there was strong evidence that many ulcers are virus caused. I don't know what progress has been made since then on curing them, although there was some success in trials.

Just did a little google research and discovered it is bacteria, not virus. That is good news, as we have anti-bacterials, but no anti-virals.

Look Here

Whatever it is caused by, it hurts like hell when I don't take my medication or violate my diet. That much you can bank on.

i had them yrs ago ~ mine were stress related. i quit my job & took antacids until they healed. my symptoms were PAIN!!!! & nausea. serious nausea! i would get nauseous if i didnt eat, i'd have pain if i did! it was AWEFUL!! if you suspect an ulcer, you really should go see a dr., they can give you a prescription to help ya w/ the pain & the gas. how long have you had the problem?? if you havent suffered for very long, there are some SERIOUS stomach viruses floating around & they can cause the pain & gas as well. you wouldnt necessarily have to have the nausea & vomiting. (a virus can cause symptoms that last a couple weeks!! ) good luck w/ it, i hope you're feeling better soon!

Call your doctor immediatly and tell him whats going on, but don't waste time going to a family physician, ask for a referal to a gastroentorologist., this way , you don't waste time.

No kidding, Mike.

Do it today and don't delay. There are several things that can cause what you're talking about. Just the unknown can cause several symptoms'on top of any physical problem that needs attention.

Just my 2¢ worth from past experience.

Thumbs up

yeah, ask to see a gastro dr! it may be something as simple as a milk allergy or could be eggs or something like that. could also be that you're lactose intolerant. you can develop intolerance & allergies at any time in your life. anyway ~ if you got alot of stress in your life, find a way to eliminate it or at least lower your stress level. keep us updated on how you're doing & let us know what that dr says!

It's not the Gluuukkkk bashing, Tuck, it's the stress of having to justify how good his plastic gun is.....

If he'd only get him an SA 1911-A1, he'd prolly pay less than for a Daktari visit or two.
