Thumbs down Gee, I wonder how long Barry practiced for this...

I found a picture of Barry actually saluting a Marine as he left Marine One!!! I'll hold off on comments and let the picture speak for itself.

2 thoughts.

1. he looks pissed that he has to salute.

2. He missed and just poked his eye!

Funny, that was my first impression when I saw the look on his face.

He sure does have one helluva grip on that paper! Perhaps he lacks intestinal fortitude. That or food on those helicopters and airforce one is not the greatest! Diarrhea we can believe in!

Maybe it's just hard to separate my opinion of the man from what I actually see but to me he looks like an amateur trying to look important. I interpret his frown as the kind of condescending air he thinks a military commander would have.

I'm leaning more toward constipation. He's full of it.

You may be onto something there. He's already convinced me that he has nothing but comtempt for our military.

When I saw the photo my first thought was a heartfelt mule kick to my guts for that honorable gentleman......the hero pictured there in that Marine Corps uniform.

I noticed the salute while watching the TV news and did think about it at the time.

My first thought was should he return a salute? In most military forces in the world I know, you dont salute if out of uniform. Then I thought he is the Commander in Chief, maybe thats why. I dont think he has been taught to salute though. He did appear uncomfortable.

I think the explanation may be that Barry got taken up in the moment, jumping out of a big helicopter with a smart Marine at the door saluting. After all, he must have seen it in the movies.

...and he (B.O.) realizing that he was totally outclassed, was obviously embarrassed.

I will give him this much...he renders a better salute than Bill Clinton ever did, which isn't saying much.

Presidents always have saluted. Keep in mind that the President is Commander in Chief as civilian jurisdiction over the military. That means that whatever he is wearing is his uniform. He is specifically constrained from wearing any military uniform or decoration (except certain medals of merit he might have been awarded by Congressional action during his active military service.)

If he isn't fond of saluting I can think of a good way for him to not have to do it. Lets just take away all the military personnel that surrounds and protects him, tada! No more annoying salutes for him.

What Barry needs is a lesson. Perhaps a nice gentle Marine Instructor would oblige.

What Barry needs is a one way plane ticket from DC back to Kenya.
