Obama's Response Re: Military paying for own Injuries......‏

Obama's response when he backed off his idea of having Military pay for their wartime wounds and injuries:

Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans' private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty.

The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal. "Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.."

"I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country," Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for blood - just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans.”

He just doesn't get it.

Mr. T., you're way too kind and civil...A bit ago when I read and posted this, I had the clearest view of a man being and ass---- as I've had in a long time! To ponder the point further, this man is the COMMANDER IN CHIEF of those troops....talk about standing up for your people....I rest my case. Chief

Mao-bama HATES what America IS and stands for, and is REMAKING it, as he sees fit. He doesn't care what people think - he's got a mandate - he won.

Congress is the same way. They too don't care what the people think - as exhibited by their voting records - on both sides of the aisle.

The outrageousness on myriad issues is coming so fast now, one cannot even keep up on it, and that's the whole idea - information fatigue. That way, they can pass more legislation, do more to "remake" the country like they think it should be made (the liberal losers in D.C.). This includes both Dems and Repubs.

Soon, they will have total control, and will change this country so much that even a total overturning of Congress in 2010 won't matter. They are doing this as fast as they can.

You are absolutely right! And there will not be an overturning in Congress! The Dems (socialists) are in complete control, and they are doing what ever it takes to stay in control. You don't really think that some liberal conservitive will vote for a conservitive ticket, when he knows that doing so will cost him his job, do you? They intend to make as many legal changes as possible, and put this country in such a hole that it will never get out no matter which way you vote. It would surprise me to even see another election in this country! If Obama gets the chance there won't be! Martial Law would be one way to accomplish this, and swine flew just might give these thives that chance!

Well, personally, I believe that we're being prepped for a pandemic like nothing before seen. This recent flu outbreak via Mexico was NOT a normal flu that just happened to mutate. Bull crap. It's been cooked up by virologists that either work for the CDC or our Gov't or both. It's totally man made. The CDC admitted as much. And there's enough evidence out there and analysis by independent experts to suggest that this was a test run attack.

They will use such an "emergency" to do just that - declare Martial Law - totally disarm the public, and introduce us to our new way of life - serfdom to the elite.
