My grandpa currently lives in Los Angeles and owns a FN FAL and an AR 15 bought many years before the ban. I now live in Tucson Arizona were i go to college at University of Arizona. He just gave me a SAKO Riihimaki .222 bolt action with a 3 round clip. I love it but it is more of a collectors gun and i would rather keep it in mint condition. In arizona i believe semi automatic assualt rifles are still legal. My grandpa is now getting older and is worried about how he can pass the guns down to me and my brothers. Is there any way that he can have the weapons transfered into my name since i live in arizona. I was wondering if this was a possibility and what paper work would need to be completed. Thankyou any help on this topic would be much appreciated.
Thankyou, Erik

I think all you have to do is take the guns with you to AZ, they do not have the carzy laws california have. but you might have trouble bringing the guns back to Kalifornia. You will see that when you get out of that state gun ownership is not that complicated. Here in North Carolina I have my concealed carry permit it cost me $90 and is good for five years. All I have to do is show that, pay and I walk out with any handgun i wan no wait. Anyone without a record can buy a AR-15 and walk out the same day in most states.
