Ooooh Red.

That brings back so many great memories. I first hear Jerry when I was coming back from a Cincinnati Reds ball game years ago. The tears were running down my face so bad I had to pull to the side of the road. My dad had been a big coon hunter in the '30's and had told many great stories and this reminded me of those stories. I had to go get every Jerry Clower record I could find. Jerry was indeed a great story teller. Thanks

I love Jerry Clower. Been listening to him since the mid '70's. My favorite has to be the Steel Marbles.

Ha Ha Ha... I haven't heard that in years... Once in a blue moon in a most appropriate situation I say that line and most people just look at me and go Huh???? (souped up bobcat)
In a previous life I accompanied some coon hunters in the south Bexar County Texas area and it was a very unusual time in my life.
Cool memory of Clower tho, thanks

Welcome to the forum. When I was in my twenties,
we'd listen to that at a red-neck truck stop once a
week and laugh like drunkerds.

We Mississippians are right proud to claim Jerry Clower as one of our own!

In my opinion, his best story was about the lying dog:
