Default Charagrin is a male!

Ok People, let's get this straight. Charagrin is a male person! I think I was the first person to refer to Char as a female. I've noticed a few more people have recently done the same. ( I have to admit it gives me a chuckle ) Cher, Char, you get the point. So again my apologies , Char! But I admit to use a name like that teaches you to get a thick skin. Having the name Bruce & being in the SF area in the 70's & 80's, I was subject to a bit of harrassment. I learned to get over it,....eventually. Just don't call me Brucie!

So to lighten things up a bit...I can think of a few other names that are Gender Interchangeable ( ooo, that sounds wrong! )

Leslie
Marion
Terry ( Terri )

What other names can you think of?

Carol, Sam (for Samantha or Samuel) and the infamous Francis (male) v. Frances (female)

I know a guy named Kim...No Joke

Theres also a friend of my dads names Cotton...You DON'T mess with Cotton! I think his name toughened him up over the years, but he is just plain crazy and will "go off" in a heartbeat.

I always liked the name, Robert the Bruce, such a cool Scottish name IMO....

Remember this guy from about 40 years ago?

LMAO!!! That's funny! I have had several nicknames over the years. We moved when I was 16 so I had to start a new school--didn't know a soul! After the first day of school, I was driving home and got a little *cough cough* impatient (VERY out of character for me*ahem!*) and passed a school bus on a hill. I didn't think much about it (unfortunately, I'm serious!) and the next day quite a few people knew me (or of me, I should say) and everyone started calling me "Hot Rod". A lot of people didn't even know my real name!

But, Firebird is one of the most recent and certainly the most meaningful to me, personally.

My nickname in high school was "Slats." Bob Lilly gave me that name, so I wore it proudly. He said when I ran into him it was like getting hit with a slat! Of course, since he was about 6' 2", 190lbs and I was 6' 0", 125lbs at the time might have had something to do with it!

When I went into the RA, they threatened to give me an extra rifle to carry, so they could see where I was.
