I was told that this is the same as 231 by my local reloading shop dude. Please confirm. Anyone have any experience with it?

W231 and HP-38 are the same powder made by ADI in Australia,Hodgdon's owns Win & IMR powder, they just put it in there can and call it HP-38 the same goes for W296 and H110.
You can go to the Hodgdon's site look up any give load that has both powders and same bullet weight listed and it will have the same data across the board. I have both,it looks the same meters the same and shoot the same in identical loads. Of course as always when you work up a load from a new can of powder I back off and work back up but so far I can tell no difference between the two. Last edited by res45; 01-23-2010 at 02:26 PM.. |
