Standard Rifle Model G and M - The Firearms Forum

Had my hands on one of these today in .30 Remington, It was also made in .25 and 35 Remington.

I know the .30 Rem was to compete with the Win 30 WCF and didn't make the grade.

What I don't know is just how the Model G is a gas operated slide action.
The Model M is slide action only.

Gun Parts, (Numrich) has a few original parts left and schematics on their site.
You may find the poor pictures of interest, and be able to visualize the mechanisms.
