Default Cant seem to "shake" the pc problems...

as My other PC took a nose dive and got a feiend to loan me an "out-of-date" laptop. Need to go out and just buy a new one but seems I've been letting shooting and the sorts fall over-top my priorities.

But in any case, I FINALLY got my CCW licence this past week!
I'll tell ya whats a bit hard to get used to for me and was wondering if this is a "normal" feeling....is walking into a place, or say a store knowing you have a firearm, concelled on your side!?!

I'm carrying a Glock 19 in 9mm, sub-compact in a fobus paddle holster and I can hardly tell it's there.
I didnt think I'd have any thoughts about carrying, but the "thought" is there.
Just hard for me to get used to. Not that I'm haveing second thoughts about carrying or anything of the sorts, just sorta weird knowing you have it on your side in public......anyone else felt that at the get-go?

(been wanting to get my ccw permit for some time now, but with my working on the weekends and losing the pay, was hard to take the time off and lose the $'s!)

Sure is WV, I've been carrying on my property for years and not a single thought. But sems a bit "awkward" carrying it in the public.

It is a feeling that will pass the more you do it.

Yep. Just don't get complacent.

You will get used to it fairly soon. The trick is to make putting your gun on your hip as automatic as putting on your pants in the morning. If you see me with my pants on, I will be wearing a gun. If you see me without my pants, you had better be BB&E (Blond, Buxom and Eager )

The next problem will be forgetting you have the gun on during hot weather and leaving home without your cover. I keep a light vest with a long tail in the car. It makes people think I fish (I do) or am a photographer (I am) but that is not a bad thing.

Yes absolutely.

I carry pretty rarely but when I do it feels weird.

Then again, I've only had my license for about 5 months.

It will get where it is second nature but always good to have the thoughts. It is a lot of resonsibility but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Good to hear all the posts as it's reassuring.
I'm sure after a bit of time, IT WILL be second nature and will be as right as rain.

Congrats on the CCW.

Hope you find your new laptop soon. Someone here should be able to give some advice on what brand/spec is good.

It'll become second nature and you'll feel something missing without it. Just don't forget and try to take it on a plane.

It's probably something like when the instructor got out of the plane and told me I was on my own.
