I use the lee trimmer and lockstud chucked up in a ryobi hand drill. Chances are you already have a 3/8 drill at the house and the trimmer and lockstud are 7 bucks and the cartridge caselength guages and shellholder to use with them are another 7 or less. Whole setup will run you 15 bucks for the first cartridge you reload and another 7 or so for each additional cartridge.

I had and gave the zip trim away. An electric screwdriver made it easier for me. When I added the Lee trimmer using brass pipe fitting to a RCBS Trim Mate the perfect system was achieved for me.

If you have the Trim Mate this setup for the Lee trimmer is made of just a couple of brass fittings.

At times I'll chuck the Lee cutter and mandrel into my drill press and put a granite slab on the table and trim that way. No need to use the lockring this way. The granite works as the stopfor the guide pin.
