The Springfield 5100 doesn't have a date code. Stevens discontinued the Springfield name on shotguns in in 48. Date codes start in 49. I'd say it's worth around 400-500 with the tenite stocks.

Unbroken, uncracked and unslivered Tenite stocks are rare in this area. I'm with Hawg on the RETAIL value with only a smidgen of reservation because of the 16 ga chambering. More realistic here in Eastern PA would be $375 - $425, still a respectible price. This model was morphed into the 311 series.
