Who is Lake City Ammo?
In doing some short research it seems that Lake City Ammo is owned by Uncle Sam. How is Federal affiliated with Lake City Ammo?
I saw boxes of 5.56 shells at a gun show that read manufactured by Federal Ammunition. The box was black and read American Eagle but it was being sold as Lake City Ammo. What is the connection, if any? Thanks |

Alliant Tech Systems (ATK) now has the contract to run the Lake City plant. ATK owns Federal, and just about everything else.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alliant_Techsystems Below is a link to ATK.
