Default .22 Remington Rolling Block No. ?

Hi,

A friend has a .22 Remington Rolling Block that might be for sale. He wants to know which Sporting Model it is (No. ?), and it's worth and resale value.

Markings:

BREECH:

PATENTS
MAY 3 1864
MAY 7 JUNE 11
NOV 12 DEC 24
DEC 31 1872
SEPT 9 1873

BARREL UNDERSIDE:

22

BARREL TOP:

E. REMINGTON & SONS . ILION . N.Y.

There isn't much blue left at all. There is a gouge in the breech block. See pic. It needs the extractor replaced, as the claw that grips the rim is worn away.

Thanks in advance!

Almost certainly a Model 1 1/2 Sporting, although you can verify this be measuring the action width which should be 1.25". Assuming the bore is in fair condition, the gun should sell for $400-$600.
