I done doed it!
My application for a Class 3 FFL went off in the mail today, along with the necessary copy directed to the local CLEO as required by statute. It's supposed to take 4-8 weeks to get the license. In the meantime, I need to look into sources for the rifles I can buy as "curios and relics" under the license. Any guidance you CRFFLers out there can give me along those lines would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking especially to buy shooters. By that I mean rifles (and perhaps pistols) that are mechanically in good shape; that is, the barrels and actions are well enough preserved that they are worth fixing up either as military examples or sportarized weapons. And yes, Polish, the German Mausers are high on my list! ![]()

My advice is prepare to always be broke and get a good credit limit. Also, be ready for the u.p.s. truck to arrive so you can sign for your package. You soon will be a lisenced milsurp addict like a alcoholic working in a liquor store. I hope this helps.

C&R Dealer Links
Some you can send a file copy to and they will keep it until it expires. Others don't keep them and want a new copy for each transaction.

Don't sweat inspections. I have had a C&R fror 7 years and nary a call from the letter folks asking me to bring my Bound Book in. For C&R's they don't knock on your door they ask you bring you Bound Book in.
