That's crazy I've heard stories but never actually seen one. A full lb of bb's now that's a shotgun! Nice find.

Wonderful, they were very popular here in the late nineteenth century. The only thing is you cant swing it, so what your doing is shooting a flock of ducks, as they sit on the water! Fun but not very sporting.

The Punt Gun was the gun of choice for the commercial duck hunter. They used 12 ga shotguns to finish off the cripples. They would load it and scull up to a flock of ducks and when close enough scare them into flight and shoot as they were just rising off of the water because more ducks would fill in the shot pattern.

Yeah but from what i have heard from the old timers is that once upon a time hunting was done out of necessity...
That think would have definately produced results for the dinner table if they had an entire flock to shoot at.
