Default A prayer of the Sikhs of Wisconsin.

It’s been almost forty years, but the recent violence at the Sikh temple reminded me of my high school friend Jagmohan. A nice kid with a great sense of humor. One time, I traded him a pocket knife for one of his red turbans. I wore it around school that day along with some cool sunglasses. It pissed off one of my more evil teachers. Jagmohan and I had a good laugh about that.

It pains me greatly to hear about the shootings in the Sikeh temple. I ask that you pray with me for the Sikhs, for Jagmohan and for all of us in the USA; That the fog of hate shall be lifted and that we may learn to enjoy life and each others differences in good will.

Thank you.

I don't think that this crazy had a hatred of Sikhism (a peaceful religion from what I read). Just another deranged individual who met his just end, by his own hand.

Prayers began when I heard of this and continue for those lost, their family and friends. And prayers for America in these times.

We have been praying for these people since this incident.
What we had here, I believe, was a moron who thought anyone wearing a turban was a Moslem.

Yes, Terry is correct. I had a table last year at an antique arms show. As a Sikh walked through the show an older collector began grumbling about "that godam arab" in the show. It did not matter to him that the man was not a moslem, he wanted all out war with islam and "all the rest of them!" In his head, every follower of Islam and every one who looked like them were the enamy. That's a lot of people to be at war with.
