Default MODEL 12 WINCHESTER PUMP

I have this model 12 pump made in 1932. I have seen photos of these with different butt plates / pads on them. Mine has a redish color butt pad on it and seems to be professionally fitted to the gun. Is this the right pad or should it have the black buttplate with the winchester logo? Thanks alot for your help.

I think all the three inch magnums came with the red pad as you are describing, but I don't know how early they made magnums. Also your gun is old enough it may have been a special order.

Probably aftermarket, but if you can post a clear picture of the butt of the gun and the entire gun in general we can tell you for certain.
