I have a Winchester Model 60-22 and would like to know where the serial number is stamped. I've looked top and bottom of the barrel and all there is is the description of the rifle. I know it is old as I shot it during the early 40's and it was my fathers around the early to mid 30's. It is a single shot 22, were there any made that didn't have serial numbers?
Would appreciate some help. Jim

Serial numbers were not required on .22's before 1968. Your rifle would not have one necessarily.

Hello Jim,
The Model 60 was not serialized. Production ran from December 1930 through December 1934, with a total production of approximately 166,000 rifles. Bert H.
