Default Underwood M1 Carbine

This is a completely original (never rebuilt) carbine. Type 1 band, SU flip sight, PU on stock and hand guard (low wood), AU on mag. release, push - pull safety, S marked receiver. barrel marked 12-43. Was sent home from the Pacific and is as it was first made. What would be the value?

Thank You

Hi crasha51pan......welcome to TFF!

If, as you say, it's all original, the Standard Catalog of Military Firearms values it at:

Exc. - $1000
V.G. - $750
Good - $550
Fair - $400

The Blue Book says:

98% - $675
95% - $495
90% - $400
80% - $350
70% - $300

Add 150% for Type original guns with flip rear sight and no bayonet lug.

You're a lucky guy......looks like you've got a winner there!
