Does anyone know if Mk IV Series 70 Colt .45 (blue) serial numbers started with the prefix of SM?

If so, what years?

Hiya' Silver,
Series 70 with "SM" prefix were mfg. 1970-1983.
Approximately 3,000 were mfg.

Thanks! I checked R.L. Wilson's book (goes up to 1978) and Clawson's Commercial book (goes only through 1970) and couldn't find anything except the Service Model Ace that had SM prefix.

Does your source reflect when SM42406 was manufactured?
