Need some prayers please.

Hey guys, I usually never ask for prayers but I just got laid off today from my job which didn't make me feel very good but Thank God I put some money back to last me for a while. Am just feeling a little low and with this economy its going to be tough but God will help me through it. I cant help to think of my favorite Bible quote Romans 8:28 And we know that all things to work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. God is good , And I thank him for all the blessings I have that others do not. Thanks guys and God Bless everyone of you.

I know how you feel, its been two years for me, but I was blessed by being able to use the time to actually fight for custody of my children.......and win I might add. I spent their summer vacation with them here at the house. Also, my stepdaughter moved in for awhile and I was able to watch her 2 year old while she was trying to get her life in order. I was fortunate enough to have a wife that made enough money to keep the bills pretty much paid. So, it all works out somehow.

you know... consider this an opportunity to exercise your faith & thank Him for it. we don't always understand how God works in situations that are hard or painful, but He's ALWAYS at work on your behalf! A.L.W.A.Y.S!!!

Prayers sent. Keep your head up, be of good cheer, because you know that God is on your side! We all know how hard it is to find a job in this economy, but that is not a problem for God! When you go on those job interviews, keep up the good spirits, and wear a smile, cause you already know that if this is the job God wants you to have, then you already have it!

I understand I was laid off for about 6 months. It was tough, but god watched out for us. Seemed like it was a little easier then than when I went back to work. Still have no idea how we went from pay check to pay check. To making it on what little we had saved and unemployement.

Try to stay positive it goes a long way.

Hey gunguy- we are in the same boat. I was among 165 people let go when the place I was working at shut down. God is good, and He WILL take care of you! Trust me on this. If I can offer a good piece of advice- get as tight with Father God as you can. Pray a lot. Talk with Him. Develop the ability to hear His voice. Please know that He already knew about this, and He has made provision for you! His word is His will. He will provide. Don't sweat anything, just stay in faith! I have been unemployed for nearly 5 months. They treated us so badly on the job. I'm glad that I'm not there anymore!

I know these shoes as I've walked in them more than once.
Iron Eagle has good advise and I will add to it if allowed.
Don't worry about holding onto the "things" of this life. I've had to sell off most of my possessions in my earlier days (more than once) and have more now than ever. Its just stuff and will be replace down the road. I even had to sell my truck and when I did find work, I had to walk.
What I'm saying is God is faithful. Do what you have to do now, knowing he is already preparing the future.
I look back on those days with a smile as I can see more clearly how he (the Lord) was working on my behalf, and would not be where I'm am today If those things had not happened way back then.

Do not resist these changes in your life. Getting laid off has no reflection on you. You are not less without the job or because of the circumstance.

Sometime a cup needs emptied before it can be refilled. Have faith and do not lose yourself to fears. Keep your head high and walk in confidence to your next calling.

Gunguy, I have lost several jobs in my lifetime.
Each time, I felt the world was caving in on me.
And each time, it ended up being a move for the BETTER!!
The last one was the most devistating of all. 61 years old is not a GREAT time to hit the job market.
But with some wiggling and re-structuring, I survived till I reached 62 and could draw early SS. And our daughter, the financial guru, managed some investments for us that suplement the SS, and we are getting along FINE now!!
