that's a basenji, and they are in fact, fairly 'cat-like'. They are known as the 'barkless dog'. I raise and rescue basenjis. After you have one, there is absolutely no replacement. IMO, they are the most interesting breed of dog. They are the oldest breed of domesticated dog, and they are also the only dog that can be found in their original wild habitat(that one looks very much like the wild african ones). They are the only dog to be classed as both a sight and scent hound. And when they attack, they are deadly silent.

No kidding, MVP? That's really cool. Does it ever act wild? Is it trustworthy with children and other animals?

I havn't spent a lot of time around it But they have small kids and the times I saw it it seems pretty well behaved. They also had a Husky and I almost took one of the offspring from the Dingo/Husky mix but wasn't sure how the dog would turn out,Wildness, Aggresive type nature?
His seems really good though. |

Funny! Both of my labs groom themselves like cats do. I guess they picked it up from the cats.
