Okay, guess I was always thinking a bullet is part of a cartridge. Just never heard it called that before!

Usually anyone who sells reloading supplies will have pulled bullets. Here's what comes to my mind fast.

Dillon
MidwayUSA
Grafs
Cabelas
.
.
.
.

Too many to name.

I wonder why they sell pistol bullets like hot cakes, but its so hard to find new rifle bullets?

I guess since I've always bought rifle bullets over the counter I've not noticed this untill now.

*edit*

Plano: I guess I wasn't digging deep enough, I found what I was looking for at MidwayUSA, Thanks bro.
I'll look through the other sites as well.

Sounds like it gonna be another 220 Swift. Burned out barrel in 500 rounds.

if you want to get technical "bullet" is part of the cartridge.I don't uderstand that every catalog has to stipulate that it's not loaded ammo when they mention bullets.[cartridge

C&R This is because, as mentioned before, people grow up calling ammunition "bullets" they hear it described this way on T.V. and from other people, I hear firearm enthusists at the range make this mistake often ...If you say "I went and picked up a box of bullets" most people will immediatly assume you mean loaded ammunition. Since most people do not reload. most people dont know the difference.

It gets worse...I have stopped telling anyone that I "reload"...Instead I say, I "handload" because so many associate "reloading" with rechambering ammo into a firearm.

LTS, thanks for the eleborate responses.

Crp, I believe i've got a book with all the bullets made from earlier dates til now. If you like i can let yas use the book in hopes of finding more. It may take me a bit to russel the books I have up. Since i still haven't got my room fully in order since i moved into a add-on room i had built. I could even drop it off to ya instead of shipping it cause I'm due to a trip to S. Springs to visit my uncle's and to which one of them you know that used to be a gunsmith. just let me know and i'll see if i can find it.

Oh heck, please dont go through ther trouble Bro...All I needed was a good on-line source for purchasing, I appreciate the offer more than you know. It's one thing to offer advice, but to offer to dig for an item then loan it out was very nice...With that said, when are you comming through the SS? I'd like to meet you even if it were a short visit...My work is slowly picking up, so weather permitting I will be out of pocket a little more than I have been recently.

You going to catch the gun show this weekend at the civic center?

It's always been a flop in the past, but they have done alot of advertizing and foot work to build this show up, so maybe it'll be better.

Crp, It'd be no trouble diggng the book out because I need to get my books out of boxes and back onto self's so i can find em when need too. It's just been on of those things not in the way so been doing other things instead of taken my books out..lol

I'm not sure when i'll be heading up to SS, Just know i need to since my last trip up was during Christmas, they've been coming down here since. so my time is due. Plus my uncle "had" a brand new set of factory Honda rancher tires and rims he was saling for $100 for all 4. I figured i'd pick em up if he still has them to pass the savings on to someone who could use them.

I haven't heard about the gun show, but i doudt i'd make it. I've been meaning to make it to the Big Town show down here for awhile now and haven't made it. Since it's really the only show down here that sales ammo. I'm looking for the .308 110gr TAC's by hornady since one of my .308's seem to love em, So i'll keep it set on them for varmints, it's a short action so it don't like feeding the heavy stuff. i'll let my other .308 handle the heavy end since it seemds to like the heavy stuff.

But when i know where heading up that way i'll let ya know a head of time and see about meeting up.
