I was out at the traveling tool sale last night, wandering around to see what I couldn't live without. I was looking at the air and paintball guns when I heard a man pleading with his wife to get one of the airguns. His wife was reading the description of the gun, which plainly and largely said "750 FPS." Part of his description of the gun was. "You just give it one pump and it shoots at one thousand foot-pounds per second!"

I promptly ran out the door because he was enough larger than I that I didn't want to laugh right there.

Let's see, a 460 Weatherby only produces about (if I remember correctly) 150 foot pounds of recoil. A thousand foot pounds would likely take your shoulder or arm clean off. One good thing about this joker, Armed, at least he's only looking at airguns instead of cartridge weapons.
