Default .22 LR Is it worth anything?

Each time I go to the range when I'm finishing up I usually scoop up about 1,000 cases of different calibers and sort them out when I get home and I always toss all the .22LR. Now I'm wondering if this is worth anything and if I should start collecting it also. Besides recyling does this stuff have any kind of market? Does anyone else collect .22LR?

it quickly adds up and will bring a decent chunk at the scrap yard. 22 LR cases are small so it takes alot of them to fill a 5 gallon bucket and when the bucket is full it weighs nearly 100 pounds. you do the math...

I wonder how many it takes to fill a bucket?

I bet that would give Janet Napoleanatio fits....

Although it's an art all to itself there are reloaders that make 22 Cal. rifle bullet casings for spent 22 rf brass. Equipment is pretty expensive but you can make some great rifle and pistol bullet with some practice.
