rem 591 front site blade - The Firearms Forum

had my 591 ( 5mm rem mag ) out to the range this weekend. was putting it back in the case today and noticed the front blade site is gone!

anyone know of parts or another that will fit?
appears to be a 3/8" dovetail style?

Numrich has them it is part # 82550av it is $13.45.
If you want to change to another kind look at Brownells there are all kinds of replacement sights.

followup.

was at a gun show this am.. and found a guy selling odd bits.. found some front blade dovetails.. he had a single one in 3/8.

took it home, scraped the gunk and crud off it and it feels like it's gonna be agood press fit for my 592

still for the life of me can't figure out how mine came out? were the original plastic? I havn't shot the thing in?20 ys or so...

was setting at the bench neating things up and decided to tap in and align that front sight blade.

went in perfect.. looks great.
STILL can't figre out how the oem one came out.
