Default 2am and i cannot sleep...

I woke up at 2am or there about. One of those middle of the night awakenings that when you wake up you are more awake that you have ever been.
Nothing major on my mind...just couldn't sleep no more!!!

I hate waking up like this. Nothing going on...no tv to watch even if i had satellite hooked up. All my $5 bargain bin movies have been watched several times over etc etc etc

The only thing left available to me is to go out to the car...warm it up and complain about the whole thing on TFF.

So there. I've done it. Now what?

Drink some warm milk and eat a piece of toast and then go back to bed.

Next time try counting sheep...

Try to peek under as they go over and only count the females..

You could call it "The Glock Sheep Sleep" technique....

Try reading a book. I highly recommend an unabridged copy of "War and Peace". About 2 pages did it for me.

Did you ever try enjoying a bottle of good cabernet sauvignon...? For me it's better and more natural than the pharmacist's pills...

Rereading an old text on double entry book keeping will do it for me. War and Peace didn't work, I got into it and couldn't put the book down till 5AM, really whacked my nose. Easy listening jazz just barely audible works better.

Well if "War and Peace" won't work, Mad Dog 20/20 (20% chance of going 20% blind) might work.

Oh mercy....and i cannot make any smartcracks nomore....

My allergies will not permit me to have a pet...not even a bird. I can tolerate the stray that comes by every now and then "outside" but thats about it.

Good to see you posting, whiteclouder!

I'm with Attillo. The only cure I've found for 25+ years of serious sleep disorder is a very liberal dose of alcohol. I've tried everything. I worked night shift by preference for a reason!
It wasn't the shift pay differential. That was just a nice bonus.

My personal cure is Kentucky Gold. 40% alcohol, goes down smooth. About 8 2oz. shots so far tonight, still wide awake. Please excuse me while I hop up to whiz and drop another 2 or 3.
It's 5:04 am right now, here.
Still wide awake.

I have to agree that a nice Cab is really good drinking. My palate is known most for its leatheriness, but I do have some taste buds left.
