They don't come with instruction sheets. It is a learn as you go experience.

Something in the water?

Advice...Be in the delivery room and be a labor coach if possible, it is the most beautifull thing you will ever experience and as my good friends stated in another thread, "some things only happen once".
All this is comming from the guy who hates Doctors offices, hospitlals, needles ect, but when that Doc wraps that little bundle up and hands him/her to you I think you'll look back and agree it was a truely amazing experience.

I hope you like company, because everyone you know will come to visit at least twice a day after the little sweetie is born.

Oh and those Aquarium swings from Fisher Price are worth every penny.

Congratulations User. And don't worry about boy or girl. Either can be a shooting buddy. I have one of each. Its just a matter of getting them interested early enough. My daughter is 14 and I would put her up against my friends at work at shooting a rifle any day.

ya mean ya didnt get faint?!

troy almost passed out twice. LOL! (once for each delivery.

) he got to participate w/ james for sure tho. the hospital was short staffed the day he was born. LMBO!

Congrats!!
Do you have a Dr. yet? If not, talk to anyone you can find that has recently had a baby and see who they had, and what they thought of him. A good doctor can make all the difference in taking care of the whole experience.
Also, ask around and find a good pediatrician, for after the baby is born. Again, new parents are usually more then happy to share advice to help out other new parents.
Oh yeah, if you were planning on getting that "dream gun" you've always wanted----TOO LATE---your money is about to be tied up for the next 18 years(22, if he goes to college)

Congrats! Your life will never be the same. I never cried during a movie, till I had a good dog & a beautiful little girl. The good dog has been replaced & the little girl is now the Jr Air Rifle Champ @ the Club.

Advice? Take all the advice with a grain of salt.

Read every night to them @ bedtime , till they're big enough to read themselves.

if some well meaning soul gives you the book "what to expect when your expecting" thank them and put it away, up high where she cant reach it!
that book scared the crap out of my wife and gave both of us way to many thing to worry about that never came true.

relax and enjoy the experience!!! the good AND the not so great

oh and pat your self on the back for figuring out where it goes..

UPDATE:

Little user, jr. is about the size of a penny, with little flippers for hands and feet. Hehe! Yeah, those "what to expect" books my wife had to lay aside because they made her so frightened and sad at the same time. She really hasn't been too sick, which is a blessing, but very moody and weepy (especially at commercials!) Seriously, it's like having a PMS'y woman for like a month so far

But she's taking it pretty well I think.

Alaina's first doctor appt. is february 2nd (groundhog day--heh heh.)

UPDATE:

Went in for the 12week checkup yesterday. Everyone's healthy-the wife, the baby, the whole gang-and all is well. I heard the heartbeat! My wife started tearing up, I started getting pretty damp, oh it was so great... all Alaina had to do was whisper "Oh my God..." and off we went :_). She had to give blood samples, which she was absolutely terrified of and the OTHER reason she started crying. She hadn't had blood tests since she was 11 years old, and she just HATES needles. She made it through all right though, and it was "worth the price of admission" to hear that little "wickachow" for the first time!
