Default Early PPK 9M/M

Gentleman, does anyone have any thoughts on how much this Wather PPK is worth? It's a 9m/m.

That gun dates to 1939 or early 1940, sorry I can't come any closer, but its finish and workmanship would put it in the "pre-war category".

PP's and PPK's of that era in 9mm Kurz (.380 ACP) are uncommon. Perhaps some others will have a better idea as to value, but IMHO, even though it is not in the best shape, that gun would probably bring around $1500 or more.

Sold for $649.99 with holster and two magazines. (In spite of the poor finish and postwar grips).

My value might have been high, but I think that $649 was a real bargain on that gun.

I just called to get it and found out someone just put it on layaway right before I called.
I agree Jim, I thought that was a real deal with two clips and a holster...!!!

I hate when that happens.

Great find for someone. Still it will need correct grips at 350 & some work with some 0000 steel wool.
I wonder if someone here on the forum snatched it?

While a pre-war PPK in 9mm is somewhat unusual, the real value is in the pre-war PP with waffenampt acceptance marks. In decent condition these can bring in the neighborhood of $2500.

Well you won't find a 9mm Kurz with Waffenamt stamps.

I guess I should never say never, but I would be highly skeptical of a 9mmK with WaA stamps.
