Best 1911 4" barrell \ California legal - The Firearms Forum

I'm looking for the best 4"barrell 1911 to be purchased in California,,, I wanted to get the Wilson Comp Carry but it's not available in CA, I also looked at the Les Baer but it too is not available in CA. Someone sggested the Ed Brown, or Nighthawk but I really can't get use to the Bob tail. Any suggestions of a high end, accurate reliable gun, legal in CA? I currently use a Kimber Custom CDPII.

Watch the expiration dates for 1911's as they can not be renewed without the addition of a loaded chamber indicator and a magazine safety. When they fall off the list timewise, that's it. They will then be no longer legal for new retail dealer sales. Consignment and private party sales will be OK but no new guns after that date. BUY NOW!

Thanks for the link to the roster of guns available in CA. I have narrowed it down to the Wilson Stealth, Nighthawk Predator, or the Ed Brown Kobra, any insight to these three will be helpful.

Garrett, any of those you named will out shoot you, for a long while, I suspect!
All are 'top flight' pistols, welcome, in my home, at any hour, any day!
Their only bad side is price. If you can deal with the number, the pistol will be a dream come true!
