My father left me an H & R 732 Sidekick .32 with white grips and a 4" barrel. I have read that it can take both the 32 S&W and 32 S&W L ammo is this correct? Also - is it worth anything?

Yes, either cartridge will work - modern factory loads preferred.
Value can be up to near $200+ for NIB - and down to $50 for lowest quality/condition.
