Does anybody know the actual reason that Eric Holder is not in jail? Please don't respond with "Because he is above the law" or "because he is federal employee".
I want to know the true and actual reason he was not arrested and jailed after Congress voted to hold him in "Contempt of Congress". That is a serious charge. They put Martha Stewart in prison for lying to a Federal agent, and contempt of Congress is much more serious than that.

Technically speaking, it’s possible he could end up in the slammer. But don’t hold your breath – it almost certainly isn’t going to happen. In the modern era, citing an administration official for contempt is often just a tactical maneuver in a larger Congress-White House dispute. It can put some added pressure on the administration, sure. But the executive branch has lots of ways to delay the resulting legal proceedings.

The executive branch controls all law enforcement and thus the Pres can decide who to arrest and who not to. He can not be convicted on impeachable offense as long as dems control Senate.

One of the appointed special prosecuters was/is a member of the staff in the DNC that was assigned to get "Dear Leader" elected, as well as being a large campaign doner. You can't get much more corrupt than that. Now, where the hell are the Republicans to do something about this. If they're not part of the solution, then they're part of the problem.

Honestly, there are so many crooks up there that if they put the ones in jail that belong in jail, there would only be like 4-5 people left to run the country and there isnt enough room in the local jails. I am talking crooks on BOTH sides of the isle. They wont ever see a jail cell. They are above the law, like it or not.

Well, at least history will show that Holder was enough of a failure that he managed to be the very first Attorney General in the history of the United States to be found in Contempt of Congress. That is not exactly a legacy he can be proud of.

There are two parts to being held in contempt of congress. The criminal portion is referred to the justice department for prosecution. Guess who controls the justice department!

As Holder is a member of the government, the contempt of Congress vote is more like a hand slap than a felony charge. Just like when Congress censures it's own members. It would be rare indeed if he saw any jail time. Also, since most of the vote was along party lines and the Dem's have been screaming partisanship, I'm fairly certain it will be dismissed as just another political ploy in an election year. At best it may reflect badly on Obozo come November.

He is not in jail because his employees refused to follow the Contempt of Congress citation. The DoJ returned it to Congress with a letter that stated they believed he had done nothing wrong, and because THEY believed he did nothing wrong, they will not now or ever execute the Contempt of Congress citation. That is the reason he is not now, now will be in jail in the foreseeable future. Even if Dear Leader is removed from office in November, Mr Holder will never be held liable for his actions, and will make millions on the speaking circuit to law schools describing how to get away with murder.
