Default Repub. Senatorial Candidate Takes Pelosi up on her offer to Campaign for Democrates

Do you think she will accept the invitation'?? I think wether she accepts or declines the invitation doesn't matter, either way she is 'painted in a corner' and looses.

Pelosi Invited To SC By fitsnews • on August 16, 2010

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she wants to actively campaign on behalf of embattled Democrats this November. She also says that Americans don’t like Obamacare because they don’t understand it.

Well, one Republican Congressional candidate has decided to take Pelosi up … on both offers.

S.C. State Senator Mick Mulvaney – who is running against House budget chairman John Spratt this fall – sent a letter to Pelosi on Monday inviting her to come to South Carolina’s fifth congressional district and campaign on behalf of the embattled fourteen-term incumbent.

“Since you and Mr. Spratt apparently believe that South Carolinians and other Americans are ‘uneducated’ about the new law, why not come to South Carolina and explain the merits of its massive tax hikes and unconstitutional individual mandates?” Mulvaney asks Pelosi in the letter.

“Obamacare” – the name widely-attributed to President Barack Obama’s socialized medicine plan – includes at least $570 billion in tax increases. It also compels Americans to purchase health insurance or face a fine of as much as 2.5 percent of their income.

Spratt not only voted for the legislation on multiple occasions, but he shepherded it through his budget committee using a procedural loophole.

Given his vulnerability, Spratt is the top fund-raising priority of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). He has also received financial support from Pelosi, embattled former ways and means chairman Charlie Rangel and other liberal Congressmen. Last month, Vice President Joe Biden held a fundraiser on his behalf.

“I realize that South Carolina is a long way from San Francisco, but I think Mr. Spratt could benefit from your help when explaining his recent voting record,” Mulvaney’s letter continues.

According to a recent analysis of Spratt’s voting record conducted by The Washington Post, he has voted with the Democratic leadership in Washington, D.C. 98.1 percent of the time during the current legislative session. That figure includes key votes in favor of President Barack Obama’s bureaucratic bailout, a “cap and trade” energy tax increase and of course the socialized medicine bill.

Meanwhile, Spratt’s budget committee failed to pass a budget resolution this year for the first time in nearly four decades.

Recent polls show Mulvaney and Spratt in a dead heat.

That's the beauty of it..............she thinks she knows everything about it but she hasn't a clue. Her frame of reference to voting citizens is restricted to those people living inside the Beltway and her constitutes. If she accepts the invitation (which I doubt) she will 'parrot' her Democratic talking points on 'Obmacare' and will end up getting a 'new one ripped' both locally & nationally.

Dem. John Spratt is a longterm incumbent but his campaign is not going well. He and his opponent are 'neck & neck"..................so, "Nancy, come on down"!!!!
