O.K., bear with me! I thought I had found the SUPER thick mugs I was looking for. Ordered a couple, No luck! While the mugs were thicker than most, they are still not the ones I am looking for.
As you can see from the photos, the mugs are just over 1/4 inch thick. The ones I want are probably twice as thick. I know, I know, this is not the most pressing issue in life, but now it is a quest! Again, if any of you can help me find what I am looking for, it will be most appreciated!

What Bobitis and Lurpy suggested are stellar ideas. I'm personally enthusiastic about the battle mug. You can get 50 of them for only $12K. You could pass one out to each of us. What say you all, should hkruss buy us all assault mugs?

Art likes the Battle Mug.
![]() Russ, it's even made in Bama, what's not to like. If anybody has an extra 300 bucks, you're more than welcome to donate one to me. You may be able to write this off as a donation to "The" Art's. ![]() Art

Battle Mug is awesome, but dang, that's a helluva price tag. I wonder if they'll recoup their set up and manufacturing costs.

I know the ones your looking for. I have a couple of old ones.
Try calling food service wholesalers. This one also looks cool: http://www.designboom.com/contest/vi...m_pk=11461&p=1 |

I belive the mug you are looking for were originally used in the resturant business during the 40's and 50's. They were very thick (near 1/2 ") with a slight hour glass shape and some had a thin green strip at the top.
Years ago I had about a dozen of them, but no idea what ever happened to them, you might want to keep an eye on Ebay for them. |

Lurpy Geek, that Battle Mug is AWESOME!
(I always want to call you Lurpy Greek - don't know why!). Quote:

Of course at the rate I post, that will be in about 20 or so more years! (then too, maybe one day monkeys will fly out of my ..., well, you get the idea!)
