I've had two Firestars, both in 9mm. One was high capacity and worked great. One was a single stack and had lots of jamming problems, which turned out to be a bad clip.
They are well made guns, but Star went out of business a few years ago so parts might be a little hard to find at times.

I have a Star .40 and it's a great shooter. Never a FTF or FTE and I have shot well over 3,000 rounds out of this gun. I have found extra mags at most gun shows so parts are still out there.
