I've been very interested in the 45-70 Summitt that Gibbs rifles says is now out after what I gather is years of delays. I haven't made an attempt to purchase one yet, but some people I know have and they were told they couldn't get one. I called Gibbs and they said they are out. I also seen a few for sale by individules on the net. Does anyone have any experience with these or know if they are easy to aquire?

Yes, they are available. $389 + shipping.

The Gibbs Enfield rebuilds are sound rifles, although they are somtimes so-so on the finishes.
