Arrow Something to ponder....

Sorry Charley...

No more StarKist Tuna for me .....

SNOPES" VALIDATES THE FACTS BELOW :

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home district

includes San Francisco .

StarKist Tuna's headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi's home district.

StarKist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.

StarKist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan work force.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy 's husband, owns $17 million dollars of StarKist stock.

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25,

Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase

so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage.

This would make Del Monte products less expensive than that of its competitors.

Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed,

Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill

adding $33 million dollars for an "economic development credit in American Samoa "

Pelosi has called the Bush Administration "CORRUPT" and many other things !!!

How do you spell "HYPOCRISY" ?

SHE'S SHAMELESS....

EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD GET THIS,

PASS IT AROUND ....!!!

How else do you think she rose to her level in politics ? She and
most all the rest are crooks and should be treated as such.

She also is against allowing her employees to unionize. Not that I'm pro-union, I'm just saying.
Can you say hypocrite?

Actually, Snopes does not verify these facts.

Check their article HERE

Now, we may debate over the liberal nature of Snopes, but it is unfair to say they validate these claims.

I can't count the number of e-mails I've gotten that start out with "Snopes verifies this..."

Unless they give me the link to snopes (or truthorfiction.com, or urbanlegends.com) I check out the story myself. 90% of the time, it has NOT been verified!

Thanks, Terry, for giving the link.

I'll verify this story. she pushed to exempt American Somoa from the raise in Minimum wage which coincidentally is where all of the family holdings are tied up in Starkiss. I personally have NOT eaten starkiss tuna for about three years, and don't miss it. don't forget the Heinz "Kerry" ketchup while you're at it.

Snopes is as liberal as a Kennedy on election day.

Not trust worthy in matters politic.

Snopes is run by a husband and wife team, Barbara and David Mikkelson from California. How two people can confirm all the stuff they claim is beyond me.
