Question Stevens Savage 77B 20 Gauge

This shotgun is marked STEVENS Savage Arms Corporation, Chicopee Falls, Mass, USA MODEL 77B **

The other side says Proof Tested 20 Gauge. 2 3/4 inch chamber.

There are no markings on the receiver.

The barrel measures 25 1/4 inches from the receiver to the muzzle.

The front bead is a screw.

I assume the ** indicates the choke but I don't know if that is IC or Modified. (I don't have right tool to measure the muzzle diamater accurately). A reference book that I have says they were made with 26" barrels IC or 28" barrels in Modified or Full.

I think this may have been a 28" cut down. Opinions on that welcome.

Any clues at all on DOM? (I know it must be pre-68)
