D.C. to ask Court to keep private gun ban:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washing...n_N.htm?csp=34 I was blown away when I saw this on usatoday.com!!! I had assumed EVERY non-felon citizen had the right to bare arms! Most crimes are NOT committed by legal registered owners of weapons/ firearms. If anything, they are a deterrent…so I thought! This gun control crap makes me extremely angry! I had no idea this was in affect there. I had believed the non registered owners & felons were the ones in D/C shooting each other up aka responsible for all the murders, etc. Is it just me or did I miss something??? I wonder WHO & how many of these politicians are registered firearms owners and carry them for protection, but think the average legal citizen does not have the same rights??? I would bet they are on both sides of the party lines. Different laws for the rich politicians! I had no idea it was like this in many cities! My apologies if I came across too strong, but this really infuriates me! I had no idea it was like this in many cities! Have a great day!

This has been a law in DC for a while and it is done under the "Reduce Crime"ind set. I used to live in California and if you look there, you would be amazed at the Legal crackpots that make the laws there. It is very hard to have a CCW license, but Diane Finstine the State Representative has one, and she says she needs one because she is a politition and needs the protection. I bet she does not even fire it more than once a year. Also Mag size is limited in the state to only 5 rounds for long guns. I have a Ruger 10/22 that was given to me by my Dad when I was 12. It is now a banned weapon in the state. I was watching CSPAN one day, and a legislator (sorry to not remember the name) got up with an AK-47 and said he could kill everyone in the room with this gun and that is why it needs to be banned, and then guess what, it was. Now this is hope dump and uninformed in my opion they are. The AK-47 was already banned, he was holding an AK-74s (which was not on the assualt gun ban list). Plus I doubt that he would have even killed 5 people, spray and pray does not do a lot. If he was able to get a 30 round clip (illeagle in California) he would have to be a master shot to get 30 kills with it, then reload and start again. Polititions think they now everything and always have the right answer, but they dont and most of the time they are speaking out of there asses. I would like to know how many guns that are used in a crime are registered to the owner of that gun. Compair this to the crime rate to get a true look at gun control. |

If he had tried that in the legislature in MY state, he would have been looking down the barrel of at least two firearms (that I know of personally) on the floor.
Probably more.Pops |

KJHB --- wrong. 10 round mags are completely legal in CA. Over 10, no. You can buy a 10/22 or 77/22 anyhwere ... legally. Mags, too. Plus any semi-auto pistol with 10 rounds or less. Else, all the 1911 and clones out there would be "banned". And, worse, my safe would be near empty!
Oh, run your spell check, PLEASE!
