Default Stars & Stripes headlines VN Tet 68

I have a few Stars & Stripes pictures I created from scanning my old Stars & Stripes newspaper sections which I had kept.

they are not very good as the paper is degrading...but you might like to see these....

Maybe some of these can be used to "Explain" to people just exactly why we were there....I know that it is a question I STILL get from people...

Talley...

I am sorry... these sections are all that I have left.

most of the papers I kept were destroyed a long time ago....

these survived becasue they where kept in with my Military pay records.

I wish that I have kept better care of them as they could be a lesson for today leftist/liberals....

Hey, People...!

I came across a 60's RVN LIFE Mag (I Think) not too long
ago with quite a few pics and reporters notes, I'll dig it out
and post scans or pics, whichever works best.... Give me a
day or 3 to get it out of my stash....

Thanks for sharing, Mith. I used to have some copies of old S&S issues, but they were destroyed in a house fire about 20 years ago, along with everything else we owned.

If you scroll down to Google and punch in OPERATION PEGASUS----there was beacoup newsprint from the S&S covering that fracus.....my outfit, NAVAL MOBILE CONSTRUCTION BATTALION FIVE, was the in-area (I CORP) cosntruction force....I won't belabor what we did but do go down and take a look....perhaps also visit the Marines and Seabees at: CONE OF FIRE AT CON THEIN......Again troops, thank you all for your service, be it whatever war or fracus...Chief
