I personally have not shot the RIO brand, but their is a guy who uses them where I shoot trap. He always does much better than myself. I use the cheap Winchester Universal shells and they work fine for me. However, I am a beginner at trap. I have read that seasoned trap shooters can tell the difference in performance between the cheaper shells vs. the more expensive shells.

I've shot RIO's for the last several years in both 12 and 20.....they work great on the 5-stand, sporting clays, and FITASC targets I shoot
