In the deal I got several cans of powder that I can't identify. They are Accurate 2015 BR, Accurate 2230, SR4756,IMR800 and a can of Winchester 748. Can anyone tell me what this powder would be compatable with, ie .243,.223,30-30 ect ect! Thanks Guys Tread On Me, But, Leave My DONUT Alone! ! Both work extremely well in the 223,with the edge to 2015BR. I have shot both in my Win post-84 20bbl carbine with WW 55 sp,55Rem HP and 53gr Sierra fbHP. The best group I ever shot was with 2015BR,WW cases,53gr Sierra,Rem SR Benchrest primers----.385 for 3shots at 100yds. Most of the time with the WW & Rem bullets, 3shots average .75. Pretty good for a little carbine, huh? In my gun, best velocity for accuracy is in the 3025 to 3080 FPS. That seems to be the sweet spot. How about .17 and .243? Tread On Me, But, Leave My DONUT Alone! ! BlackGUN HondoJohn6508 Member Posts: 34 (1/25/02 10:39:39 pm) Reply | Edit | Del Re: Powder identification -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BG, Had to go get the Accurate loading Guide #2 to see about those calibers---gives loads for the 17 Remington,222 Rem,22 PPC,22 BR Rem,22-250,6mmPPC,6mmBR rem,243 Win,250 SAV,7-30 Waters,300 Sav,30-06,8x57js--really more than I had expected. I don't know what to expect accuracy-wise on a lot of these cases as I have never used these powders to reload them. My experience has been with the 223 only. If there are any particular calibers listed and you don't have the AA#2 book, let me know and I will give you what they show for start and max loads. The Win. 748 is excellent in 30-30 caliber...as that is what I use it for. Gunguy rayra V.I.P. None of these books specify any of the powders I mentioned. John I'll get with you guys on specific loads in .243, & .17 when my dies and cases come in. in the next few days. I just bought a new Remington 700 BDL .17 from AntiqueDr and a Remington 7400 in .243 a couple of days ago. GG I need to get with you on the SR and the IMR800 to find what it's for. I load 38, 9MM and 45ACP in pistol Tread On Me, But, Leave My DONUT Alone! ! BlackGUN Edited by: BlackGun at: 1/27/02 1:07:55 pm rayra V.I.P.
