Default Colt M1902 .38 Auto Military Pistol - What's it worth?

Hello, gun very smart folks! I have my grandfather's Colt M1902 .38 Auto Military Pistol. "BROWNING'S PATENT" COLT'S PATENT FIREARMS MFG. CO. PAT April 30, 1897. Serial #15199. The knurling on the slide is on the FRONT of the slide. Grip covers appear to be original: "COLT" at the top of the grip, with the Colt horse in the center of the grip. Sooooo, what's it worth??

No appraisal can be given without knowing the condition. Only sharp closeup photos can give us an idea.

You may have a valuable gun. Goddard's book show s/ns 15101-15200 were shipped to us Gov't Springfield Arsenal in 1902. Value based only on condiion of a your early type gun complete and functional with no original blue and no obvious mistreatment might be about $750, with 50% original blue $1200 and more nearly like new value higher. If yours can be confirmed one of the US Gov't order the value would be raised considerably. I have several 1902s as watch values and see maybe 20 of them in the auctions right now.
