What an absolute load!
FIRST they gripe about the carbon footprint of our pets because we feed them meat: The Vales, specialists in sustainable living at Victoria University of Wellington, analysed popular brands of pet food and calculated that a medium-sized dog eats around 164 kilos (360 pounds) of meat and 95 kilos of cereal a year. THEN they gripe about the fact that our pets kill wild animals: With a total 7.7 million cats in Britain, more than 188 million wild animals are hunted, killed and eaten by feline predators per year, or an average 25 birds, mammals and frogs per cat, according to figures in the New Scientist. But they ignore the 'carbon footprint' of the wild animals they kill each year! Hey, let fido kill a few rabits. Let Felix kill a few birds. This will eliminate their 'carbon footprint' from the environment, ballancing out the 'carbon footprint' of the dog or cat itself. Idiots indeed. Oh - and who the HECK only drives 6000 miles a YEAR??? Last time I checked, the AVERAGE mileage driven in the USA was 12,000 to 16,000 per year. VERY slanted and selective. I smell another 'global warming and it is our fault!' on the horizon.

How much is Al Gore's carbon footprint?
He has jets, a mansion, and cars. Can any of our computer whiz kids figure it out, and post results?

Where do these idiots get this junk? God put man and animals on this earth for a reason, and it wasn't to shaft each other and LIE about everything! Somebody should tell them that their "carbon footprint" is too big. I wonder how they would feel then. It's time to end this BS!

WOW. Mike Tyson is no longer at the bottom of the doe-doe list. There are just not enough words to aptly apply to this article and its author. Best I can do right is "complete idiot".
I am still stunned, WOW. ![]()

IT'S ALL WRONG. SPIN IT AROUND! THE PLANTS WILL NOT LIVE WITHOUT US! THEY NEED THE CO2. IT'S TIME WE START CHARGING THE PLANTS FOR THE RIGHT TO LIVE.

OK OK. WE NEED TO COME UP WITH A PLAN TO TALK THE LIBS INTO WALKING OFF A CLIFF. THAT WOULD GET RID OF ALOT OF CO2
EDIT: Ok you think this is crazy? It's just as crazy as talking your children into believing that if you die killing your enemies that you will go to heaven and get 72 virgins.

I wonder if anyone has figured the carbon foot print of Al "I invented the internet" Gore.

Tale of Two Houses
House #1 A 20 room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house, all heated by gas. In one month this residence consumes more energy than the average American household does in a year. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2400 per month. In natural gas alone, this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not situated in a Northern or Midwestern 'snow belt' area. It's in the South. House #2 Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university. This house incorporates every 'green' feature current home construction can provide. The house is 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on a high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F) heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Surrounding flowers and shrubs native to the area enable the property to blend into the surrounding rural landscape. HOUSE #1 is outside of Nashville, Tennessee. It is the abode of the 'Environmentalist' Al Gore. HOUSE #2 is on a ranch near Crawford, Texas. It is the residence of the Ex-President of the United States, George W. Bush. So whose house is gentler on the environment? Yet another story you WON'T hear on CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, or read about in the New York Times or the Washington Post. Indeed, for Mr. Gore, it is truly an "Inconvenient Truth." Idiots. Morons. Imbeciles.
So existing creates a carbon footprint. BFD. Are we actually trying to pin something on dogs here? Oh ****, I better let mine go so he doesn't generate a carbon footprint that can be traced to me. Oh, wait, the end number is the same? WTF? Might as well keep it. Seriously, did someone get grant money for this POS study?

These guys need to go back to school and pay attention this time. Carbon footprint only refers to the amount of ancient ( fossil) carbon released. Talking about the amount of land need to produce the meat and cereal used in pet food and relating it somehow to carbon footprint is junk science on a level that puts even Al Gore to shame.

There was once at time, before PETA and Algore, before Obama descended from heaven (or Chicago, I keep getting those two mixed up), when animals actually killed and ATE other animals!! They didn't have rights, or courts or even laws (exept the laws of nature). They just killed and ate each other. Shocking. TJ
