If you wonder why this country is so headed down the crapper, look who has been controlling Congress for the last 70 years. This is a list of the Speakers of the House since 1930.

The first thing you must understand is where, politically speaking, the Demoncat Party stands.

When asked in a debate during the 2008 presidential primaries if she considers herself a liberal, Hillary Clinton said she prefers “the word progressive” because liberalism “has been turned up on its head and made to seem as though it is a word that describes big government.” Last year she said "I am more Progressive, than Democrat". Now what is a "Progressive"? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressivism In the United States, the term progressivism emerged in the late 19th century into the 20th century in reference to a more general response to the vast changes brought by industrialization: an alternative to both the traditional conservative response to social and economic issues and to the various more radical streams of socialism and anarchism which opposed them. Political parties, such as the Progressive Party, organized at the start of the 20th century, and progressivism made great strides under American presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Lyndon Baines Johnson.
IN AMERICA: COMMUNIST, SOCIALIST, PROGRESSIVE = DEMOCRATS http://www.newswithviews.com/JBWilliams/williams114.htm While every Democrat voter is not a communist yet, almost every Democrat politician is - certainly every party leader. So, why are we still pretending that there is some kind of nuanced difference between today’s Democrat Party and today’s Communists?

In 1868, the 14th Amendment gave the Federal Gov't "veto power" over states' laws.
In 1913, the 17th Amendment removed the states' "veto power" over federal law. In 1913, the 16th Amendment authorized the Federal Gov't to tax incomes. In 1913, the Federal Reserve Act provided the Federal Gov't with the "Mother of all Credit Cards". The Militia Act of 1903 and the Nat'l Defense Act of 1916 established the large standing army which our country's founders feared so much. In recent years, the Democrats have been pushing "Straight Socialism" and the Republicans have been pushing "Socialism Lite". Soon we shall see whether the Tea Party movement will have any effect in turning the situation around. |
