Default p22 suppressor

I am thinking of buying a suppressor for my walther p22. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the paperwork done and back. I have heard from 3 weeks to 3 months. The one I am buying is called a gemtech outback. Any info would be helpful thanks

It depends.

If you are getting your first NFA item, it takes longer. Right now, with everybody scared that Obama is gonna outlaw them, they are jumping on them while they can, so there are more people being taken care of by the same amount of clerks, so it takes longer. I've been told that your name has a lot to do with the time. My last name starts with A. Lots of "A"s out there. The clerk that handles A has a large backlog. Now, if you name starts with Q or Z, it should not take as long.

My first NFA purchase took from March to November to get the paper. My longest took 13 months (both of these Clinton [anti-gun president] was prez). My last one took 3 months (Bush, pro-gun President).

It depends.

I got a Gemtech Outback II last year and it took 9 weeks from the time I mailed the Form 4 until I picked up the can. I actually think the dealer had the form for a week before he let me know it was back, so I really think it only took 8 weeks to process.

I use the can on a P22, Ruger MK II with a Tactical Solutions upper, a 10/22 and a 77/22. Also have a Tactical Solutions 22 conversion for my AR but haven't had a chance to fire it yet. I have a single shot Winchester that I am going to put it on but I haven't threaded the barrel yet.

I've only used Remington and Agulia subsonic ammo in it. The Remington works great but the Aguila is very dirty and doesn't always cycle a semi-auto.

The only real problem that I've had is that I keep thinking about the other 22s I have that I can thread.
