Question Federal HE loads

Does anyone have the load info for the Federal Premium HE 30-06 ammo? The factory loads use a 180 grain Nosler Partion bullet and have a muzzle velocity of 2880 fps. I'm trying to figure out what powder they use to get that kind of speed. I've had great sucess with the factory ammo but would like to load my own. Thanks.

The factories don't use cannister grade powders like we get when we buy powder. They get a certain type & then they test the lot for their loads. It may be 4895 or whatever but it's likely to be a little different than the 4895 we can buy. Even if you used the "same" powder it would be a little different. That's why the ammo companies don't list what's in their loads.

In the Nosler load book for that caliber & bullet the only powder that comes close to the velocity you stated is RL-22:

57 gr =2682 fps & was the most accurate load for this powder/bullet.
61 gr=2872 fps & is Max load.

Win WLR primers in Winchester cases.
