Well we do down here in the south. Or is this the deep south? Maybe Louisiana is moving north. It is becomming a regular thing for us now. We have a winter storm warning tonight. As the world wobbles i guess.
It's funny when Vancouver has to truck in snow for the Olympics. Here are some things to look at if you wish. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/worl...now_days_.html http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...orth_pole.html

I think if you start looking at some of the data out there this is a natural thing. In fact I am waiting for someone to say the equator is on the move.
Some places heat up and others get cold. Here is something from 1922. Check it out.

Forgive me if I find this comical.
Seattle had more snow last year than it has seen in the last 15 years combined. We've seen none this year and have record breaking temps for the last two months. Honestly, I do not see the magnetic pole variation of 25 miles a year as a factor. Is there a 'special' line that gets crossed that makes it worse weather wise? A few years ago I was driving to work in the snow. I got to one point, and the snow vanished. It looked like someone had taken a straight edge and said "do not pass". I've been saying it for years and the 'climate community' can't figure it out. The earths climate is dominated by two things, and mankind is not one of them. Solar activity (sun spots or what ever you want to call them) and the earths oceans (water is about the best conductor of heat that we nkow of). Until we can control the sun and the oceans, we have no say in the matter. We have no lowland snow here this winter and the gubmint will claim of water shortages. In the meanwhile, we send water and power out of state. ![]() On the left coast, we have two alternating 'sea' cycles. La Nina', and El Nino'. Been happening for all time we know of. La Nina' brings cold water north. El Nino' brings warm water north. They alternate. If science is all that accurate, a warm winter could have been extrapolated for the winter games in Vancouver. ![]() Yes, it's warmer here than usual. It's colder in other parts of the country than normal. For all we claim to know about climate change, we don't really have a clue. That, or we ignore it and claim to know what's happening and cook the books to say likewise. I think it's funny and sad at the same time. ![]()

Control the oceans...isn't that what that mad scientist on Underdog was trying to do?
I just don't understand how a "scientist" can disregard data that has been collected and recorded since man learned to write practically...not logical...does not compute...ignorant input...

I agree Bob. Not claiming to know anything about this. Just stuff that i come across. One thing i am glad for is cooler temps. Down here it sucks in the spring and summer. It lasts way too long for us. I am not complaining at all. Snow and ice, yea bring it on. It's way too hot down here. I dont know what is causing it but i hope it lasts a while. In May were in the high 80's and I cant stand it. Funny you go 30 or so years with out seeing the white stuff and then you see it 3 or 4 times in one year. Make you stratch your head. Right Art? How you doing over there?

It wouldn't be sooo hot if the Gulf Coast wasn't your front yard!
I love when it's 95dF and 98%humidity ...makes for some seriously miserable days. AC is standard equipment in everything and everywhere...it was bad here last year. There were a few days I just didn't want to venture outside. Dawn and Dusk...I felt like a vampire![]()

Man, I had this constant draft rolling thru the house. Heater would kick on for about 30 sec. cut off and frigid draft. I went in to heat some water...daughter left the back door open when she popped in for money.
I've got about 2" or so at my house and it's still snowing, but it's that quiet fluffy falling snow...fresh powder...

These are pretty dark, but it's light outside. I can hear the neighbor kids up the hill playin' in it. That is cool.
