Woke up early. Gun was sighted in all is great. I about 3/4 mi from where I am going to hunt and deside to put in a squib load to ensure that the barrel is dry of all lube. No problems. After that I powder and place a bullet in the gun. I get to the area that I am hunting and find a good tree to sit and watch for deer. 40 min later and a NICE doe come in about 125 yrds. Heart racing gun on the shooting sticks with the sight ligned up. BOOM!!! Smoke. Nothing. I stand up. The doe walks back in to view. I reload. Drop to a knee. BOOM!!!. Doe jumps the fence with no blood sign. Not even a hair. I am using 295HP Power Belt with 100gr of powder. Should go all the way through. Nothing. So I know now that my sight might have been bumped. I go recheck them. They are dead on. I go back for an afternoon hunt. Young buck steps out. I shoot and miss again. I reload, shoot all the while this young buck is laughing at me. After ducking the second shoot I relize that "Hey all they do is bow hunt next door". These deer are GOOD at ducking any slow moving object. I hope I will do better tommarow.
