Default home made pistol bench.. or whatever ya call 'em

i'm lookin to make something for my 1911 shootin/testin. i know sandbags are ok, but i've burned a hole in 2 of 'em soooo. anyone got any good home made stuff, along the lines of something like this...

Not exactly what you are talking about - but here is the "rear" of a sand bag set from Cabelas. Flipped around and bracing on the slanted portion has worked for me on 1911's, revolvers, and the Ruger as shown.

I've got plans for a "1 Sheet" shooting bench somewhere's around here, I'll see if I can find them.
